Ms. Long’s Literature class is currently reading “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time” by Mark Haddon, a book that takes place in England and centers around a teenager as he attempts to solve the murder of a neighborhood pet. To aid in our novel study, we’ve begun delving into other classic examples of murder mysteries and the crime fiction genre. Today, students watched an episode of Sherlock, taking note of clues, possible red herrings, and any plot or character similarities they noticed between the show and our novel. While they watched, students were given the opportunity to enjoy a classic tea (“cuppa”) or coffee, along with some Scottish shortbreads.

The Big Foot National Honor Society has partnered with the Department of Natural Resources in its' 7th annual Hunt Off Hunger Campaign. BF NHS will be competing with other local high schools in trying to bring in the most non-perishable food items to go to benefit our local food pantries, and the Big Foot communities. Please consider dropping off non-perishable food items beginning 11/10 through 12/10 at BFHS to support our efforts.
