Students in Ms. Kroes’ Chemistry 2: Inorganic Chemistry performed an experiment this past week. In this experiment, juniors and seniors worked to try and determine the chemical formula after being given some known elements and some unknown elements. Seen in the photos, students used a vacuum filtration to help filter the water out from their copper, then they added ethanol to the copper before running the filtration again.

Tomorrow First Day of School: Tuesday, September 3rd. We have reserved the morning for all 9th grade and new students to welcome and ease the transition to Big Foot. Doors open at 7:00 am. Breakfast is available in the cafeteria starting at 7:15 am. Students should be entering the building by 7:40 am to start the day promptly in their classrooms at 7:45 am. Help students create good habits and arrive on time to maximize our learning experience!
At the end of the day buses depart at the east entrance at 2:55. Returning students are welcome to arrive and eat lunch or for the beginning of classes at 11:15 am that day. Buses will run on normal schedules so students that do arrive early will have time to prepare for the day and meet with other students in the cafeteria. Returning students should bring their Chromebook and charger on the first day of school. New students will be issued Chromebooks on the first day of school during homeroom.
Have a wonderful and happy Labor Day!
We offer our appreciation to all the workers whose efforts make our community the great place it is.

Two of our coaches at Big Foot high school really put them self " in the tank"today at the Walworth county fair. They donated their time to sit in the dunk tank and Fairgoers could try to dunk them. The money that they made during their time will be divided between their two teams, which is tennis and golf. A big Shout Out to Mr. Karabas and Ms Lawler. Thank you to the Kunes Country Auto Group for supporting our local schools in Walworth County #Go Chiefs
