Honor Night 6:00 pm BFHS Auditorium
Honors Night is a special evening dedicated to recognizing and celebrating the achievements of graduating seniors. It's a time for students to receive awards, scholarships,often in preparation for graduation day. The event is attended by students, their families, and often by representatives from local businesses and organizations. FFA had their first flea market of the season where they served customers, made food, and had fun. Come join them again for some delicious food at the next flea market on June 29th!

This year Big Foot High School is excited to welcome an Alumna from the Class of 2006 as our graduation speaker.
Dr. Aileen L Rowland, DVM, PhD was a member of the Big Foot High School Class of 2006. She graduated from Colorado State University with a Bachelor of Science, Equine Science and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. She also received a Doctor of Philosophy, Biomedical Sciences from Texas A&M University. Dr Rowland has been employed since 2023 as Associate Principal Scientist, Clinical Research at Merck Animal Health, Rahway, NJ. She is a veterinary scientist with a broad knowledge base and background in clinical medicine. She also has extensive experience with in vitro laboratory procedures and in vivo pre-clinical and clinical studies involving animal models. Her responsibilities include, Clinical study team leader, Design, coordinate, monitor, and report clinical laboratory and field studies to support regulatory approval of new companion animal and livestock products. In addition to being responsible for the conduct of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) studies. Welcome back to Big Foot high school Dr. Rowland

One male and one female athlete are selected annually for the American Legion Outstanding Male and Female Awards at Big Foot High School. These awards began with the 1990-91 school year, and are presented by the American Legion on Honors Night. Each award winner receives his or her own plaque, and a large plaque noting all winners since 1990 is displayed on the wall to the left of the auditorium doors.
The criteria used to select each recipient is his/her
1. Total number of major letters earned over four years;
2. Honorary awards, including end-of-season team awards;
3. Conference awards;
4. All area, district and state honors;
5. Contribution to team success;
6. Whether he/she worked up to academic capabilities; and
7. Whether he/she conducted himself/herself in accordance with the policies stated in the BFHS Athletic Handbook

Big Foot FFA Wins State Agricultural Communications Career Development Event
MADISON, Wis. (May 15, 2025) – The Big Foot FFA Chapter was named the state winning Agricultural
Communications Career Development Event Team. Team members include Rebecca Konkel, Gavin Baxter, Gianna Kud,
Evan Henningfeld Their advisor is Lisa Konkel.
Through this contest, participants work as a team of communication consultants to develop a written media plan, present
the plan to a panel of judges, and as individuals, apply what they have learned during practicums, a quiz, and editing
exercise.
Big Foot will now represent Wisconsin FFA in competition at the National FFA Career Development Events to be held in
October in Indianapolis, Indiana during the 98th National FFA Convention. The Agricultural Communications CDE is
sponsored at the state level by CNH Capital. The National sponsors are OsbornBarr and Monsanto.
The Agricultural Communications Career Development Events help students prepare for careers in journalism, radio and
TV broadcast, web design, marketing, and more. All CDEs engage students in developing their communication,
decision-making, and teamwork skills to promote future career success
