The homecoming theme this week is Wizard of Oz on Monday. Students and Staff were encouraged to dress like their favorite character from the Wizard of Oz.

Yesterday Big Foot high school choir students were able to attend a music festival at UW Platteville. They practiced all day and had a performance yesterday afternoon Big Foot high school music instructor Miss Williams is a graduate of UW Platteville. . It's homecoming week and the athletic field lights will be lit up later in the evenings this week to help deter any further activities in unlit areas. We know that this is not ideal for all surrounding neighborhoods but we would hope this deterrent is preferable to any future noise disturbance. Thank you for your understanding.

And tomorrow's theme for Homecoming week is Twister Tuesday mis-match day Don't forget to earn points for your class, towards the spirit cup wear outfits with clashing colors, patterns, and styles, different socks, shoes, and accessories.

Every Friday Big Foot High School has offered a CNA program through Gateway Technical College. Six Big Foot high school students in addition to two students from neighboring school districts participated in this class. It was taught by Gateway instructor Eva Waddell-Jimenez RN who coincidentally is an Alumni of Big Foot HS herself. In addition, the students spent two full days the last weekend of September at the local nursing home. Congratulations to the students for achieving their nurses aid certificates. The Big Foot students are Kaylee Cates, Kendall Cubert, Lainie Esser, Reid Henningfeld, Lucia Martinez, Leah Paulsen. .

October 6 is more than just a date on the calendar; it's National Coaches Day. Coaches play a vital role in shaping the lives of those they influence, serving as role models and sources of inspiration. Their guidance imparts valuable skills and life lessons beyond the field, court, or classroom. The impact of a great coach is immeasurable, as they instill discipline and shape character. It’s Wisconsin School Board Week! 🎉 We’re joining schools across the state in celebrating Oct. 5–11 and honoring our Big Foot High School Board of Education for their commitment to our students, school, and community. This is a time to raise awareness and understanding of the vital function an elected board of education plays in our communities. They provide a voice in education decision-making, they dedicate themselves to the overall well-being of our district and the care of future generations. While we make a special effort to recognize them in October, their service to our community continues all year long. Please join us in thanking them for their commitment. Please join us for our first ever Movie Night Under the Stars as we watch The Wizard of Oz on the big screen! When: Wednesday, October 8th@7:15p.m. Where: BFHS Football Field Who: Everyone is welcome and admission IS FREE! Don't forget to bring blankets and dress warm-it might get chilly! There's No Place Like Homecoming! Get ready for Homecoming Week October 6-10!

🎓 On October 1, DDHS hosted the Wisconsin Education Fair — and dozens of colleges and universities were there! 🏫✨ Big Foot high school attended with 25 students. The students were able to start to think about the college they might like to attend. They were able to check out what different schools have to offer.

🧹 A big shoutout to our amazing Custodial Team!❤️ Your hard work, attention to detail, and care make our schools shine — literally and figuratively. From spotless classrooms to welcoming hallways, you help create a safe, clean, and comfortable space that truly feels like a second home. We couldn't do it without you! If you see a member of our custodial crew please be sure to thank them for all they do — a smile, high five, or kind word goes a long way! 🙌🫶

On Sunday, the Big Foot FFA hosted their last concession stand of the year at the Walworth County flea market. Our members had fun grilling hot ham and cheese sandwiches, frying corn dogs, operating the windows, and more. Can't wait for next year's flea markets!
