You can earn college credit for free while still in high school! You have tons of options to earn both high school and Gateway Technical College credit for courses you take throughout your high school career. The benefits of dual credit add up, including:
Thousands of dollars saved: Through dual credit, you earn college credit worth hundreds or thousands of dollars for free. That means that when you start college, you’ll have less costs in tuition.
Career exploration: Dual credit gives you a more in-depth look at possible career paths, as well as hands-on learning opportunities.
Quick career entry: By beginning to earn college credit in high school, you’ll jumpstart your education, allowing you to graduate faster and enter your career path as soon as possible.
A student selected for the program may be permitted to enroll in a Universities of Wisconsin university, or an alternative private, non-profit institution of higher education (IHE) to take one or more courses for which the student may earn high school credit, post-secondary credit, or both. Under ECCP, the costs of the courses are shared among the IHE, the school district or private school, the state, and in some cases the student’s family.
BFHS mainly partners with UW-Whitewater, however there could ne opportunities with other UW system schools
