The Lion's Club is dedicated to serving our community and empowering our youth. They believe that by investing in our students, we are investing in the future of our community.
The Lion's Club's biggest fundraiser is held on the last Saturday of July every year - their Lobster Boil and Steak Fry. However, there are many other fundraising and volunteer opportunities the Lion's Club takes part in. Examples include: vision screening at local grade schools, St. Patrick's Day Pot O Gold 50/50 raffle, meat raffles, food drives, food baskets, the Fontana Triathlon, pictures with Santa, deer hide collection, and highway cleanup.
This year, the Lion's Club has budgeted $106,400 to give back to our community including over $20,000 to BFHS for scholarships, activities and athletics. None of this could be possible without the support of the Big Foot community.
At the football game on Friday, October 5, 2024, the Lion's Club presented a large check to Big Foot High School for $5,000 to be split up between many of Big Foot's Clubs and Organizations. Big Foot High School thanks the Lion's Club for their financial contribution towards our clubs and organizations.
