I received my BFA in ceramics from UW Whitewater. I participated in undergraduate research on the State and National levels pairing technology with ceramics. 

I'm a strong advocate for hands-on, student driven learning in the art room; and involve my students in every aspect of the “making” process as well as community service, problem-solving, and technology-infused activities that provide them with opportunities to use their art knowledge to help others.

In addition to teaching young people, I'm a potter focusing on creating custom work for local businesses. I also teach adult pottery classes through the Big Foot Rec Dept twice a week. I have 3 children and 1 grandchild.  In my spare time, I enjoy hanging out with my 3 dogs, canoeing, hiking, tent camping, and bonfires.

Oh, and I'm a very very very serious person.
