About Mr. Raskin
Mr. Raskin has been the instrumental music teacher at Big Foot High School since the fall of 2010. He lives in Walworth with his wife Nicole (English teacher at BFHS), two children Carter and Harper, and their Shi tzu Cody.
He has performed with several local ensembles including the Lake Geneva Symphony, the Southern Lakes Masterpiece Chorale (Elkhorn, WI) and Choral Union (Janesville, WI). Mr. Raskin's primary instrument is the clarinet and he doubles on saxophone and trumpet.
In addition to performing, Mr. Raskin enjoys playing basketball, golfing, reading, and playing with his kids.

Ms. Liza Shapin
About Ms. Shapin
Ms. Shapin has been the choir and piano teacher at Big Foot High School since the fall of 2019. She is from Buffalo Grove, IL and spent her entire high school career devoted to show choir and dance team. Ms. Shapin enjoys both performing in and seeing musicals, with some of her favorites being West Side Story, Dear Evan Hansen, and Chicago. She is a graduate of UW Madison (Go Badgers!) where she participated in opera workshop, choir, Humorology, and many other campus organizations.
Outside of teaching, Ms. Shapin loves to travel. One of her favorite destinations is London, where she (accidentally) got to see the Queen of England. She spends her summers as the Camp Coordinator for the Buffalo Grove Park District performing arts camps. She loves coffee, Disney, Marvel movies, and binge watching reality competition shows (Survivor, Big Brother, Amazing Race, etc.)!
